TRIO Student Support Services - TEACH is funded by the US Department of Education to serve education majors at UCO that are first-generation, low-income, or have disabilities.
SSS TEACH is located in the Max Chambers Library room 315a.
Hours:
Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
• Sends you the TEACH Times – which is our program newsletter that details programming announcements, upcoming dates and deadlines, and other important information.
• Sends you calendar invites to your UCO email to remind you of important TEACH events.
• Assistance Navigating the Professional Teacher Education Program. When should I student teach? How to apply? We can answer all of those questions.
• Assistance with Certification Test Preparation (OGET, OSAT, PPAT)
• Scholarship Opportunities. If you are eligible for the PELL grant, you may be eligible for grant aid through SSS!
• Graduate School Visits & Preparation. It’s FREE. Seriously! On the right you can see some SSS TEACH students on a graduate school trip to Colorado!
• FREE Academic Tutoring
• Study Hall. Build your community of other ed majors and study together!
• Mentoring. Don't know how to handle a situation? We got you.
• Assistance Understanding and Completing Financial Aid
• Academic Counseling. Which classes should you take together? Which are really hard and will require a lot of focus? How to plan your classes to finish on time.
• Career Counseling. Getting close to graduating? Along with our campus partner, the Career Development Center (CDC), we can look over resumes, personal statements, or even do mock interviews!
• Meet other Ed majors. They might be your colleague someday! It's about who you know.
• SSS Events, Activities, and Cultural/Travel Experiences. Again, it's FREE!
• SSS Leadership Organization/ Possibility for Volunteer Hours (for PLC or LOT, or just cuz!) attach flyer
