Student Transformational Learning Record (STLR)

The Student Transformative Learning Record, known as STLR, is like a second transcript that helps our students track growth in core areas that resonate with employers and graduate schools. In addition to an academic degree, prospective employers and graduate programs look for experiences beyond the classroom – those that can be applied to real-world situations.

These experiences are focused within six core areas, the Central Six Transformative Learning Tenets. Student growth within academic majors is reflected through academic transcripts and represents the tenet of Discipline Knowledge. STLR tracks growth in the other five tenets: Global and Cultural Competencies; Health and Wellness; Leadership; Research, Creative and Scholarly Activities; and, Service Learning and Civic Engagement.
