About Us

The Big Event organization is responsible for planning and organizing all events surrounding this day, allowing students to work with residents/agencies in their community. The Big Event aims to be the largest one-day, student-run service project at UCO and combined with other universities in the nation.

Throughout the years, the communities of Edmond and Oklahoma City have shown endless support to the students of the University of Central Oklahoma. For this reason, The Big Event strives to reciprocate that appreciation to all residents. Each year, students from UCO spend one Saturday performing various service projects all across the Edmond and OKC metro communities. These 'jobs' last approximately four hours and could include window washing, yard work, interior/exterior painting, and much more.
