Persian Petals & Poetry is a cultural event about Iranian spring traditions and Persian New Year. The event will include Persian-style painting, Persian Deserts, writing names in Farsi, and sharing Persian poetry. It will also teach students about the meaning of spring in Persian culture and some important Iranian traditions. The goal of the event is to help people learn about Iranian culture in a creative and interactive way.
Food Provided (Tea (From Walmart), chocolate cake (From Walmart) , vanilla cake (From Walmart), Water and Orange Juice (From Walmart), Lavashak from Amazon ( Lavashak is a sour fruit snack made by drying fruit puree into a thin sheet. It is kind of like fruit leather, but usually much more tangy and sour. Baklava From Zorba’s Mediterranean Restaurant ( Baklava is a sweet dessert made with thin crispy layers of dough, butter, and nuts, usually with syrup or honey on top. It is rich, flaky, and very sweet).)
