About Us

The Archaeology Society of the University of Central Oklahoma is a student organization with the purpose of promoting the field of archaeology. The Society will provide an opportunity to expose students interested in archaeology to research relevant to their interests and various majors. The primary focus of the Society is to promote student research and education in the field of archaeology. The Archaeology Society will hold bimonthly meetings with presentations and workshops given either by UCO faculty, off-campus guest speakers, or by the Society's students themselves. The Society will also plan field trips to local Oklahoma archaeology sites.
