The Association of Retention Initaitive Students (ARIS) All-Initiative Kickoff will be August 14th. Right now, this is tentatively scheduled for the Clara Luper Room (Nigh 314) from 9am - 2pm but I can adjust this if needed.
This will be the great day for the leadership team to discuss the following:
- First week programming plans. We can finalize everything we want to do the first week of school.
- First week responsibilities. If we push ourselves in front of students at as many events as I want for the first few weeks, we will need to make sure everyone understands their role in responding & welcoming our new cohort of mentees.
- Mentorship pairing. We can finalize the way we want to pair new mentees with mentors here.
- Completed & approved flyers. This way we are ready to go for the first week of school marketing!
- Finalized calendars of events. At the very least, we want to make sure we know when we are meeting every week.
- Maybe a few tabling orientations under our belt? I know some of you are interested in tabling at orientations - if you have not discussed this with me, please message me and let me know if/when you are able to table (I know y'all have vacations and stuff also though!)
