Howdy, sustainability people!
After dealing with some small transitional difficulties, S4S is back in business! Here's some quick news to get the ball rolling:
Meeting Time Poll
First, and most important, is our meeting time poll! The poll is posted on our group page, and it'll be open until next Friday at 5 pm. More information about meeting times can be found in the poll's description.
Special Elections
Speaking of polls, S4S is looking for some new officers! Several offices were left vacant after the last election, including Treasurer (which Ryan is temporarily filling) and Outreach Coordinator. We're also looking to fill a new Sustainability Ambassador position, who will be responsible for coordinating with other organizations to reduce their ecological impact. We'll go over the application process at the next meeting, so those of you who are good at budgeting, posting on social media, or schmoozing with other organizations should consider applying!
Central Oklahoma Sustainability Collective
Those of you looking to do sustainability but more should consider taking a look at our sister group, Central Oklahoma Sustainability Collective! Mark Walvoord and the rest have been filling the sustainability void that was left when the Office of Sustainability was closed due to budget cuts (RIP). They're responsible for the new composting and glass bins on campus, along with tons of other initatives! Go to blogs.uco.edu/green for more information.
