Black Men Don’t Cry: Breaking the Silence is a powerful and intentional event hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., created to provide a safe and affirming space for Black men to express, heal, and be heard. This mental health awareness night will feature a dynamic panel of Black men from diverse backgrounds who will speak candidly about their experiences with mental health, vulnerability, and the pressures placed on them by society.

The event will also include an interactive Q&A segment, giving attendees the opportunity to engage in open, respectful dialogue, ask questions, and gain deeper understanding of emotional wellness. A central focus will be breaking down harmful stereotypes surrounding masculinity—challenging the notion that Black men must suppress their emotions and instead promoting vulnerability as a true form of strength.

Women are not only welcome, but encouraged to attend as supportive listeners—creating space to better understand, uplift, and learn how to foster healthier communication and relationships with the men in their lives. This includes gaining awareness of behaviors or language that may unintentionally trigger or create tension, and replacing them with empathy, respect, and support.

Through honest conversation, education, and community, this event aims to empower, uplift, and remind Black men that their voices matter, their feelings are valid, and they do not have to carry their burdens alone.
