Big Event Team Leader Applications Open
Sign-up today to be a team leader for the 2021 Big Event on March 27th.  Team Leaders will serve as the liaison between a small group of site volunteers and the Big Event Executive Committee.

Applications are available on UCORE and due on March 5th.

Sign-up today to be a volunteer for the 2021 Big Event on March 27th.

Big Event is a student-led service opportunity held every spring. The mission of Big Event is simply One Big Day. One Big Thanks. One Big Event. UCO students head out into the community to say thank you to residents through service.

Registration is available on UCORE and due on March 12th.

If your office or organization has upcoming student volunteer opportunities, please send the information to volunteer@uco.edu to have it included in our weekly emails.

Off-Campus Service Opportunities

Galentine's Day at Scissortail Park
February has arrived and we are excited to celebrate Galentine's Day on Saturday, February 13th from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Volunteers are needed to help create a fun Galentine's Day for our park community.  Please go to https://scissortailpark.galaxydigital.com/ to see the list of volunteer opportunities for February 13th. 

You can register for our volunteer site if you have not already.  You may also need to sign a 2021 waiver.  To sign a waiver, log in or register, click on OPPORTUNITIES on the left side, then click on Qualification Needed.  Next, click on the GENERAL LIABILITY AND GENERAL RELEASE FORM and electronically sign the waiver.  Lastly, click on Submit.  Once the waiver is approved, you will be good to sign-up for any 2021 volunteer opportunity. 

Independent Transport Network of Central Oklahoma
ITN Central Oklahoma is a dignified transportation and delivery option to ensure seniors keep their freedom and independence. We would like to invite you to join our mission and support central Oklahoma elders and visually impaired adults.

ITN offers: 
  • Safe rides for seniors, anywhere- not just medical appointments
  • Deliveries and pickups
  • Assistance with technology like grocery delivery apps and websites
  • Free rides to eye care appointments for our riders

WovenLife

WovenLife is a non-profit organization that has been located in Oklahoma City sicne 1925. WovenLife offers a Child Development Program for children ages birth through five-years-old, an Adult Day Health Center for adults and seniors, and onsite Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy. All programs are inclusive to people living with or without a disability.

WovenLife is committed to empowering people of all ages and abilities to find hope and independence through compassionate care, education and support.

Distinguished Service Award

Students with over 400 hours of logged and approved service are eligible to apply for the Distinguished Service Graduate Award during their final semester on campus. Log those hours and apply on UCORE!
