Alternative Breaks seeks to increase community engagement experiences for UCO students through a focus on social issues on a local and national scale. This level of community engagement will be achieved through the offering of fall, spring, and weekend Break experiences. Alternative Breaks will further UCO's mission of creating ethical and engaged citizens and leaders.

Join us as we look to build active citizens through transformative experiences!

Alternative Weekend Overview:

During this service-focused day, we will be partnering with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and Other Options Inc. to look at how both organizations support individuals in the OKC Metro facing food insecurity. We will serve in the morning with The Urban mission. In the afternoon we will serve with the Regional Food Bank to learn about state-wide hunger and how they work to combat it.
