Alternative Breaks seeks to increase community engagement experiences for UCO students through a focus on social issues on a local and national scale. This level of community engagement will be achieved through the offering of fall, spring, and weekend Break experiences. Alternative Breaks will further UCO's mission of creating ethical and engaged citizens and leaders.

Join us as we look to build active citizens through transformative experiences!

Alternative Weekend Overview:

During this service-focused day, we will be partnering with with OKC Beautiful. OKC Beautiful is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the image and appearance of Oklahoma City through education, programs and community engagement. This day will involve a deep dive look into litter and its environmental impact here in OKC and an overview of the programs and services OKC Beautiful hosts. Participants will conclude the day with service to OKC Beautiful to help them work towards their mission of environmental stewardship.
